Jeff Bleijerveld
Director of Global Ministries
Jeff Bleijerveld has been Director of Global Ministries since March 2008. Bishop Ron Ramsey appointed him to that position following a search by the Global Ministries Leadership Team.
Jeff has been an ordained minister in the Missionary Church for 23 years. He was a missionary in Spain for eight years with World Partners Canada, and in 2001 became Assistant Director of World Partners USA, the Missionary Church's mission agency. At World Partners, Jeff's responsibilities included:
- Overseeing all daily operations.
- Managing all human resources functions for the 130 staff scattered around the world.
- Developing and supervising volunteer programs.
- Working with missionaries in raising their support.
Being fluent in Spanish, Jeff frequently traveled to South American, Central America, and Europe, and also served as Hispanic Liaison to churches in the United States and abroad.
Jeff, a Canadian citizen, holds a Theology degree from Emmanuel Bible College in Kitchener, Ontario, and a Masters in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind. For two years, before going to World Partners, he was Administrative Pastor of a 250-person church in Ontario.
Jeff and his wife, Charlene, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in May 2007. Charlene works for Benicomp, a health insurance firm in Fort Wayne. They have three children, all of whom live in Fort Wayne. April and Mike Barcalow have a son, Henry, who was born in early November 2007. Julie and Rick Navrotsky attend Emmanuel Community Church, as does son Jason, who lives at home while attending Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne.
Jeff enjoys gardening, wood carving, and reading historical fiction. |
